Choose PT Energy when the warewasher performs well but the room climate is the problem. Recovering heat from the exhaust air reduces the steam plume at the hood and preheats cold inlet water, improving operator comfort and lowering the load placed on ventilation without giving up the PT platform’s rack flow and wash control.

Specify this range where steam, heat gain or ventilation demand has a real operational cost. The heat-recovery section increases machine height and requires a cold-water supply, so coordinate ceiling clearance, services and tabling early. Do not choose PT-XL unless the venue genuinely needs its 500 x 600mm rack and taller entry.

Operational Fit

The Energy models use cold inlet water and are taller than their standard PT counterparts to house heat recovery. PT-M and PT-L accept 500 x 500mm racks with a 440mm opening; PT-XL accepts 500 x 600mm racks with a 560mm opening. Allow the full stated height and service access before confirming the room layout.

  • Match detergent and rinse aid to the ware material and soil rather than treating the Energy model as a different chemical application.

Installation & Operating Considerations

  • Confirm the exact electrical build, water pressure, inlet temperature, drainage and backflow requirements on the final specification sheet and supplier quotation.
  • Allow service access, door or hood movement and a safe dirty-to-clean workflow; external dimensions alone do not define a workable wash area.
  • Commission chemicals, water treatment and programs to the local water and actual ware. Published outputs are theoretical and depend on loading and site services.
